What Makes It Special
Patola is a true double-ikat — both warp and weft threads are tie-dyed before weaving, in a process that demands almost mathematical precision.
Why It's So Expensive
A single Patola saree can take 6 months to a year to weave. Only a handful of families in Patan still practice the original technique.
Care
Dry-clean only. Roll, never fold sharply. Store in muslin away from sunlight to keep colours vivid.
